How To Participate in Youth Company

Students in levels 5-8 are eligible to participate in ECB’s Youth Company.  Youth Company auditions take place during Nutcracker auditions.

Participation in ECB’s Youth Company is a privilege afforded to those students who demonstrate the highest standards of ability and commitment. In order to participate in the Youth Company, dancers are expected to:

  • -Maintain regular attendance
  • -Meet all requirements of the assigned level
  • -Attend all scheduled rehearsals
  • -Be available for ALL performances
  • -Conduct oneself with the highest standards of professionalism, behavior, positive attitude, consistency, integrity, and hard work

Auditions

Auditions will be announced at the end of summer 2025

There is a $45.00 Audition Fee to be paid on Audition Day.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to audition time.

Required Ballet Program Classes

Company dancers must be enrolled in all ballet and pointe classes offered for their level.  In addition, company dancers must enroll in Modern (Levels 6-8) or Character (Level 5) *All classes must be taken at ECB.

Requirements for Summer Intensive

Level 5 – 8 Company dancers must attend 4 required weeks of ECB’s Summer Intensive Program at their appropriate level.   Company dancers who wish to attend outside summer intensives must have approval, and the intensive must include at least 4 to 5 weeks of study.

Company Dues for the 2025/2026 Season

TBD

  • This fee covers rehearsals and costumes.
  • The dancer must provide his or her own shoes, tights, and makeup for rehearsals and performances.
