Dear ECB Families,
Welcome back to ECB’s 2021-2022 season! We know you have been anxiously awaiting information about the blueprint for the year and we appreciate your patience. Our goal is to structure programs that maintain ECB’s high standards of excellence and care while diligently adapting to our new circumstances. With a positive, can-do attitude our creative faculty and staff have committed themselves to the continuation of quality professional instruction within a supportive community, along with numerous opportunities for student growth.
As we face the same uncertainties all schools face, we have created a plan which will offer flexibility. This flexibility will address the needs of families who are trying to balance the desire for their children to continue their dance education with very real concerns for safety. The plan also allows for us to make swift transitions to alternate options should new information and mandates become available from the state and CDC.
Covid-19 Policies & Procedures
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself and your dancer(s) with our procedures. We ask that parents have a conversation with their child prior to their first lesson to discuss the new rules and expectations regarding social distancing, wearing a mask and dancing in their personal space that is given to them for class.
- - ECB will continue to stay well-informed of CDC and CT state guidelines.
- - AS OF MARCH 16, 2022 indoor masking will be optional regardless of vaccination status.
- - If your child must stay home from school due to illness, please also keep them home from dance.
- - No parents will be allowed in the building- parents and siblings are asked to remain in the car.
- - Dancers will come dressed in their ballet uniform ready for class. The student will only bring dance shoes & labeled water bottle into ECB. All belongings will be kept at the dancer’s designated barre space. All street clothes will remain in the car.
- - Restrooms will be sanitized by a staff member throughout the day. Please do your best to use the bathroom before arrival to limit the use of onsite lavatories.
- - Sanitizing stations are set up throughout the school.
- These guidelines are subject to change. Last updated: 3/15/2022Every member of the ECB community has a role to play in keeping all of us healthy. We ask each individual to make a commitment to following all of our health guidelines. Together, we can keep each other safe at ECB.
