How to Participate in the Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is performed at The Garde Arts Center in New London.

2025 Tech and Performance Dates:

  • Tech Week at the Garde Arts Center - December 8 - 11, 2025 (NO CLASSES)
  • School Performances - December 12th (NO CLASSES)
  • Public Performances - December 13th & 14th (NO CLASSES)

Eligibility:

  • Dancers enrolled in Levels 1-8 are eligible to audition.

Mandatory Nutcracker Meeting:

  • Nutcracker Parent Meeting - 7 - 8pm Friday, September 5, 2025 at ECB
  • For dancers levels 1 - 8, in order for your dancer to be eligible to audition, a parent representative MUST attend this meeting.
  • Company Parent Meeting - 8 - 8:45pm Friday, September 5, 2025 at ECB
  • For dancers levels 5 - 8, if you would like to audition for Company, a parent representative MUST attend this meeting.

Audition:

  • There is a $45.00 Audition Fee to be paid on Audition Day
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to audition time.
  • Please visit your Jackrabbit Family Portal and enroll in the level appropriate audition.

Saturday, September 6, 2025

  • 12:30 - 2pm - Level 7 & 8
  • 2 - 3pm - Level 5 & 6
  • 3:15 - 3:45pm - Level 3 & 4
  • 3:45 - 4:15pm - Level 1 & 2

 

Dancers and parents who attend the mandatory meeting will receive Nutcracker info via email that includes:

  • Nutcracker Handbook
  • Important Date Sheet
  • Hair, Make-Up, Costume Requirements
  • Volunteer Form & Requirements
  • Sponsorships/Ads
  • Posed Photo Shoot Order Form
  • Logo Wear Order Form
  • Etc.
